Where-O where have these last two weeks gone? Where-O where could they beeeeee? Howdy, one and all! Welcome to 2010, a new year and decade has been rolling on out for the last three days, working on the fourth, and these have been a wonderful three days to the start of the new year. What could be so great about them? Peace and Quiet. Experience and Living. Love and Joy. Wait, let me rephrase… Love and Joy are found all the time around these parts, especially, THE POWER OF LOVE BABY!
The Last Two Weeks of 2009
Well, this is my attempt at getting back into the daily updates, because this has been one of the most relaxing holiday seasons of all times. Yup, none of those seasonal traps, so to speak, for dreading the family get together(s) many speak about, nope. Loving the family and getting hell-a laughs in have been terrific! Yup, it has been a wonderful time of catching up, doing more reading, and still attempting to keep up with the news, while balancing out schedules to see the one and all.
Speaking about the newsy aspects of the world…Having stepped back and really taken a look at things, as just observing and living in this history of the now, world news slows down the last two weeks of year. Has anyone else observed this from the news coming off the wire, or while visiting other sites? Could this be because we all say, “f*ck it”? Ha! Really. Has anyone else noticed that only the really bad news is pounded away at the last two weeks of the year? For example, three days before the holiday of Christmas, all those employees were told to just go home. Or how about the airplane on Christmas Day? Pounding away…because we all just said, “f*ck it.”
This could just be a wayward observation, but those two newsy stories were the most discussed..at great length. Ah, well, there is always more happening, has to be – especially with 6 billion + occupying this planet. Could that be a false statement? Who knows, right? Well, that’s my two cents for the newsy articles/stuff over the holiday. Now, the day is still young and I will be trolling the news here shortly…
As far as reading and relaxing, oh boy! Who doesn’t love books nowadays? The book stores were full, as were the libraries around the area, with so many just relaxing with a good book. Personally, whenever entering the book store/library, I never know what direction I’ll be heading in till something catches my eye. The great moment of not judging a book by it’s cover begins once entering, and lord help me if I come across an atlas or reference book of some kind, because I love maps. Just taking a moment to refresh the geography of the world is something not a lot of people do I noticed. Those poor books hardly ever move on the shelve. Seems odd, especially with the world wide web, and things literally (and figuratively) being connected. Call my crazy, I don’t care..everything is connected. How could it not be? Think of the Chaos Theory. See, wonderful.
Okay, well let me get to it. Maybe something interesting will be in the news so I can ask – drum roll – questions! Growing up, I was always told that it is GREAT, no DEMANDED, that I ask questions. LOL – The little comment on the bottom of the report card saying, “not enough class participation,” would sink my britches for any outside playtime. Or my favorite, “marches to the beat of a different drummer, but works hard…”
So, I’m off to go participate. Score!
