The Breet Report

Where does inspiration come from? How do these ideas and thoughts pick the right person to compose music, draw tattoos, paint pictures and so much more for others to enjoy?

I think I’m going to stick to the traditional way of thinking for this…I have a developing idea for inspiration.

When a person is inspired it has been because a person came to a point in their life where it was important for them to grow.  A person grows because of the things/places/people/situations around them.  It is perhaps this person, who may not be artistically inclined with the normal artistic painting qualities, who will find other ways to transform their inspiration.

This winter season is almost over, and every winter since 2007 I have discovered something new about myself.  While purging things this winter (because I cannot stand clutter) I came across my old stress relief from work – a coloring book and drawings I have done with just a simple protractor and ruler.  While getting ready to pitch out some cardboard I got the bright idea/inspiration to put the pictures on it.  But how in the hell was I going to do that?  By using what I have around me to make 3-D artwork.

Items Used: Protractor, tracing paper, yarn, paint, cardboard (from a local grocery store), sewing needle, and thumb tack
Results:

The only issue with following the inspiration that a person gets when accomplishing/completing a piece of artwork is – Where are you going to put it? LOL — I would think that is a good problem to have, uh?

Waterfall

Location: Skyline Drive, Virginia.  The Name: Dark Hallow Falls

Taking pictures is apart of everyday living now and we each capture moments in time.  The first time I saw this waterfall, it was a mere trickle.  Well, it was August and in Virginia, August = Hot!  The picture above is the second time I got to see the waterfall and boy it was great trying to hope from rock to rock, trying to get the best picture possible.

Pictures like this, and many more captured by everyone who knows how to use a camera, capture proof of moments in time – when things in Nature start to become evident.  Things stop looking so green, the streams running dry, and so much more.

This is a waterfall that obviously has been able to stand the test of time.  All it has is time.  Heck, for all we know it could be limited time with the changes in Nature and the climate.

Pictures like this are what drive environmentalist, green blogs, and others, to want to give knowledge about the only planet we have and live.  If we do not take care of it – it will and has been drying up.

Use whatever picture you need to use in order to remember that there is a bigger World out there.  (It is like the fast food concept – there is one on every corner to remind you to buy from them.)

Each of us in our own rights – is a smart individual.  Each of us has unique qualities when it comes to being knowledgeable in certain areas of any job. When so many have unique qualities and the ability to share it (rationally) it makes it impossible to believe that each of us is still so ill informed.

If not, then to break it down further…

This is the age of information and technology…designed for the now.  In the now, we have the ability to look up whatever we want to learn or know more about; yet do not utilize the tools.  Information, provided by the technology, is provided on a silver lined plate and gobbled up as “truth.”

Sure it is – this is what causes the strife between so many of us and keeps us arguing or in heated discussions.  This started off with more sad news for the environment but….side tracking is about to take place but with good reason….and does tie into each of us.

Currently, I have been excited by the fact, that I have been given a chance to write for Natural News Online.  I am a citizen journalist on the site, with one published article!  I was able to dive into the topic of recycling and why it is so important.  I finally got to put the information out there – AGAIN – for everyone to see the – “what and whys”  – thus – hopefully – understanding it.

Why share this information and what does it have to do with you and me being smart?

Because – I did not think it would be published.  I did not think that my words could possible have been any good – to anyone else – when it came to connecting the dots.  (Pollution to the environment – causing physical harms -to us and other species- that are not faced or flatly denied.)

What I have learned in the last thirty days (from really taking a leap of faith and trying to be more then just me on a blog or work behind the scenes) is that I am loving the fact the years of reading and researching (for just myself) is coming alive in the writing.

My passion is for the environment and for us as a whole – to be better.  We need to see and understand that what is going in the environment… will eventually kill us, or at least make us glow in the dark.  Either way, if you have the passion and dedication to be better – just start.  As my mother always (and still does) tell me – “No one can take what you really want away from you, except you.  If you want to be different or have changes, then do it.”
