In the area of “where to put your money for a good cause” – this is actually where I start.  The environment is the only thing that people have in common and we have the birth right to it.  Why?  Because it is all around us and we eat most everything from it anyway. The environment is the one common thread to all life and to each other.

In order to help or donate, especially if you are a local, just follow the directions below ;)

Adopt online: www.maymont.org (per the brochure, a secure online donation service)

  • Anti-Government, Me? No… But A Voice For Our Environment

Just yesterday, I was told that sometimes what I write is “anti-government.” Oh, boy this sent me onto my soapbox.

    First, I am not anti-government.

Why? I believe in the Constitution and what it represents for the United States.

The problem I have with the current status quo, and maybe you do too.

The problem is that I am a regular average person out here in the world that has to follow guidelines, or I lose my job.

The basic guideline for any business out there for an individual to follow is, NOT to lie, cheat, or steal.  If you disobey those three things, all of your creditability is gone; therefore you are gone.

Our government officials – ELECTED government officials – get congressional hearings “to get to the bottom of exploitation.”  They are not fired and get RE-ELECTED.  That is what my problem is when it comes to the government.

Most of the population has NO CLUE as to the lies, cutting corners, and payoffs that most of the ELECTED government officials have done.  Most of the population does not want a clue because they do not believe that their representative could do such a thing or exploit.

When the reports first come out – everyone is pissed off – then nothing happens.

Review the last thirty years. Look at them and what has happened in the government.  Nixon was caught, hands down, and the man stepped down.   Who else in government has done that – when they have gotten caught?  And I mean really LEFT government work all together – to NOT make a decision for you and me?  FEW if any –

So, as you are reviewing the last thirty years – it becomes obvious that as we have been sold out – our health, our lifestyles, our environment, our qualities of everything – HAVE PLUMMEDED.  Look at how we live and we, the general public, fight and quibble with each other over Social Security, Universal Health Care, Advancements in Technology, and so much more!  We have not looked or acknowledged the ROOT of the problem to MAKING THOSE THAT HAVE DONE WRONG, ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

Everything is traced back to the fact shady deals of government were executed to benefit a few.  Look at all of the logging of the trees, mountains and landscapes blown up to have mines and strip OUR COUNTRY landscape, or the collapse of the banks.  (Recession ending? Only for those that still have a couple of millions left.)

Those few in the government area reap the benefits of the above because THEY VOTED FOR IT THEMSELVES.  Better health care, huge paychecks for an elected officials (to have during and after office) and quality of living where they will never see hungry or know what it is like to be HONEST and work hard for what they have.  They did not go to their home state – they just did it.

Now, ask yourself this – why are we kept in the dark about the crap we all know happens? Because they know it is wrong.  They know that it will mean their “job” if they get caught.  (Then it is swept under the rug.)

They do not follow the rules but expect you too.  They still have a job but you do not.

They do not want to eat contaminated this and that, but expect you too. This leads to better health care for them because they know they authorized the dumping of contamination!

This is the tip of the iceberg for why I want to speak up for the environment.  The environment is the ONE COMMON THREAD we all have together.  The environment is what gives us ALL the benefits of health, of lifestyle, of living quality.

Since science is censored, especially in the last ten (10) years, it is important for people to really understand that we are more than what we eat – we are dying because our environment is dying.

WE, not the government, are going to be the responsible ones to change the course.

We, not the government, want better – then we need to set the example.  Maybe they will follow us, especially, IF we quit being at each other’s throats over all the crap that has been fueled to separate us.

ONE COMMON THREAD TO QUALITY AND PRESERVATION OF LIFE EXIST –

THE ONE COMMON THREAD IS THE ENVIRONMENT.

Our actions of green living, picking up trash, recycling, donating food (not money), volunteering, and being active about our environment/surroundings changes the World – one small step at a time.

We live within the rules of the state and local government, and even call on the Constitution when more of a defined term is needed.  Questions: Why are they any different? Why are they separating us? Why is it they authorized others to pollute our home, our environment, our ONLY EARTH – to slowly contaminate me, you, our family, our generations? Has it really all been for that dollar that they say is going to save the environment now?? Really?

So, yes I choose to speak for the environment and what it means to me.  I may only be a regular person – like you – with the same problems – like you, but just observing this crap is not doing my part, it never was – and I can’t be like that anymore.

The vicious cycle of seeing children born with cancer and dying at the age two is bull, in my opinion.

The vicious cycle of seeing people (at an accelerated rate) get cancer by 50 and dying “within an estimated about of time”, is bull in my opinion.

The vicious cycle of seeing the fish and all of our food supplies (livestock and veggies) having PCB traces, mercury, and a whole bunch of other nasty crap polluting each and every single one of us – is bull in my opinion.  Those things have a known ROOT cause, but the status quo is maintained because we are too afraid of speaking up and holding those responsible accountable.

Everything has a root cause. Since we have no power (it seems) to have the root cause addressed, then it is best to keep pointing out obvious issues in the environment.

The environment works together – the whole thing.

What happens in China – will affect us here, because the winds carry that “it.”

What a ship or rig deposits in the oceans – will affect us here, because the tides carry that “it.”

What a plane will deploy in the air (bombs or otherwise) – will affect us here because earth absorbs “it” and the winds carry “it.” (Double whammy for our troubles.)

What a person does to set a fire (covering their tracks), or nature creating one through lighting – will affect us here because crops are lost, or a person’s life if changed in an instant.

I believe in government, but through the original design and then adaptation of changing times. Not this hokie bull of separating each of us from the truth about the mess we are in now.

We have problems – not a problem – but problems in our environment that are causing each of us issues.

  • Another Issue of Water That Leads To Water Wars…

This issue of water is streaking every so gingerly across the United States.  People have no idea the extreme value of water till it is almost gone – simply because it hadn’t affected them – yet.

Water Wars are not just for the third world countries anymore but each one of us, and our Nations. We have to start becoming proactive in the quality and preservation of life.

The headline reads “Agriculture Secretary assesses California water problems.”

Over the years, as a species, we have expanded and sprawled through the continents at a furious pace.  The time of hearing our grandparents’ say, “it’s just like it use to be” really should be touching each one of us right about now.

When we divert water from natural paths, natural paths that Nature has constructed, things have a way of dying or wildlife relocating on their own.  It is amazing how that happens and been reported (in different methods) to “send a message.”  Truly, that message has not been heard or addressed – obvious to those who lack water now.

    On with the story…

“Farmers kept returning to the issue of drought and water, however, and the state’s outdated system of conveyances that have cut deliveries because of environmental concerns in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.”

The lack of water is a problem for everyone.  We are made up of water because that is how we are designed by Nature, God, select the title you choose.  If we are going to live – we have to have water.  If we lack water, we get dehydrated and that can cause heat strokes, bladder issues (later in life for some) and/or eventually death, after about (I believe) 7 to 14 days.  Wow, all that and we do not protect it?

The quote from Costa says, “It’s important for the Secretary of Agriculture to understand that California’s water system is broken and the federal government has a role in fixing it.”

(If they wanted it (water) to be fixed and addressed, twenty years ago, it would have been – when it was first identified. Yup.)

Drought by Peter Griffin @ Public Domain Pictures.net

Drought by Peter Griffin @ Public Domain Pictures.net

Did you know that last year there was a report from Britain about people not knowing where their food came from?  Yeah, they had no idea or concept of “farm.”  I thought this was a fly by night news from the Onion – but it wasn’t.

Farmers grow crops that feed the masses – you and me.  There are basic needs farmers have to have in order to grow food, and the top two on the list, water and sunlight.  When there is no water, there is no food.

The last time I checked, most of us do not practice the rain dance and offer up humble offerings to the Creator, so what do we do for a solution?

In the areas that still have water and the supplies are running low, it is best to put into place a system to decrease the water flow going out.  (This is, if people really want the governments help.  I mean, California couldn’t even come up with a budget there for a while. That is still a thorn in people’s side.)

This will create a reserve.  Not only will it create a reserve – government – will have time to figure out the best way of recycling it better.  Yes, we all know about the pills and medication in the water supply – I am talking about our poop in the water.  (See The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight, by Thom Harmann, p. 93-97)

The science and examinations of our water supply are there – and my guess is – there are a lot more water reports that we do not get to hear a lot about either.

Second, should the first not take place – YOU take action. Become aware of how much water you are using on a daily and regular bases.  REGULATE YOURSELF.  There is nothing wrong about taking responsibility for your own actions.

Q: How much water do you waste in a week washing, how many loads of laundry?  First, why do you have that many clothes? Dang, that’s a lot of dough.

Q: How much water do you waste brushing your teeth at night?  Do you leave the faucet on as you are brush, brush, brushing?

Simple and straight forward uh?  That means – you can do it.  Every little action helps. Inaction will cause bigger problems.

Here is the part that had me jumping and excited, “We need to be concerned about its [water] quality and availability.”  Why does this excite me? Because it is QUALITY AND PRESERVATION OF LIFE; we share ONE common thread in life and that is this planet.

Water wars are going to heat up – Especially, with the impact of Global Climate Change/Global Warming.  Since there are so many of us – it is best not to wait for the impossible to happen, when it is already here.

Guess what….this is in the news, so update: Nepal villagers on climate change front
