• The Breet Report – Short Term Profits Equals No Long Term Goals

Businesses have an equal responsibility to the environment.  In the quest to “take while you can and no thought of the future,” businesses have seen profits and then folded when the heat was on due to illegal acts. (Take your pick or examine the coal mining business.) With multiple sites on the net that promote awareness to the environment and how beautiful it is, plus the benefits of reduce, reuse, recycle – why, oh why are profits still so important?  Are businesses banks?  Nope. They just want a piece of the pie and willing to justify a means to an end.

The other day a question was presented, something to the effect of “why the wardrobe was not updated?”  In order to “update,” there is a need to go to the businesses and promote the abuse on nature and people.  The stories of sweat shops and environmental disasters, have not been forgotten.  Should the improvements of conditions, and abolishment, of forced labor disappear – sure there would be a desire to “update” the wardrobe.

    What does this all mean?

Businesses rely on people being forgetful and are happy to have no attention given when a scandal breaks out.  Has there been any other news about the peanuts issue at the Georgia plant?  Has there been any other news about the soda factors in China causing environmental issues?

The laundry list of business as usual, even within government, is a long “who done it and got away with it.”  Individuals have been distracted with a divide and conquer scheme to test the stress limits.  (Raise of hands from those that are not stressing?  Raise of hands who aren’t?)  While the stress is equally felt (an assumption that is seen on the faces out in public)- the need exists for all individuals to remember, cutting corners is dangerous.  The organic bodies health is at stake, plus the environment – that which gives all life.  Before shopping for convenience, remember the facts; it boils down to still driving the status quo or not.

  • The Breet Report – Shaping of Culture

The entire global community has culture.  Granted, there are cultures have been wiped off the face of the planet or dying currently, but the history of those extinct cultures still shape the globe.  Within the current and known varieties of culture, there have been societal changes to make room for the new “it.” This happens all the time and from around the world in all forms; therefore, environmental issues are heading to the forefront.  It is the environment that creates the new “it.

    Delicate

The planet does rely on a balance, and we have disrupted the planet to a point that it may not be able to recover.  Continuing to ignore the proven facts of ALL environmental concerns, will leave our only planet as a desert.  The generations of life, all species, will know the effects of our poor decisions in not doing anything.

    Government Solution

The governments are not able to agree with each other on one iota of a solution to anything. The sugar coating takes place everywhere because frankly, they still have not gotten the hint of working together, WITHOUT SELLING OUT.  Money is not the end all, be all.  (Notice how more people are happy in the economic downturn? Well, the reports stopped flooding the news and people are wondering why their government is not “doing anything.”  Seems odd, doesn‘t?)  Money is not going to save the environment, we – people of the planet -  will be the ones to make the changes for the environment.  That the quality of life depends on each of us to do the right thing or at least mend the over harvesting of the planet.  (There is no way to replace what has been striped or siphoned. For example, water.)

    Consequences

The consequences that could take place will test each of us and rattle our core.  Notice that the consequences of environmental inaction are not being discussed?

If people could try to accept the proven (or at least examine the) evidence, without having the news tell them a perspective, the consequences would take shape.  In other words, the economic downturn would be small potatoes; thus cultures would change easily and for the betterment.

    * Hint of possible consequences. Yes, these are the extremes, but not unthinkable and hinted at in the regular news already.
    Food Shortages/Global Starvation
    Water Wars
    Deserts
Then plain War – to continue taking from each other.
Article of Interests (Seems to be a lot of talk about culture)

  • Water: Oceans Are Getting Worse

In order to continue to provide food for the masses, different industries have “cheated” nature. We all know, because we are intelligent, it takes a while for plants to grow – unless you cheat.

Harnessing the different aspects of nature has been mankind’s greatest achievement. Ask any chemical, biology, or scientist in general – they will tell you and they are quite proud of this fact. For that matter, so are the corporations – but that is a story for a different time. Moving on….

The air we breathe is toxic – that is a fact of life now. Toxic air is filtering into our lungs due to global winds moving it around (at least for now). We know that the emissions from vehicles, and other units that require gasoline, harm our atmosphere. What we are slowing but steadily gaining knowledge about are the components the agriculture industry is using – to accelerate growth of the food.

How in the world do you accelerate the growth of food?

Well, remember the study about organic and mainstream veggies “not having different qualities?” Totally, false; however, since a scientist reviewed 162 reports (and no link provided by our media for easy public viewing) no has seen the “fixed” nitrogen problem. Oh, otherwise known as nitrogen fertilizer. Who maybe could shed a little more light on the subject?

France. They have seen the problem – up closely and deadly personal.

‘Toxic’ seaweed spreading on France’s northern coast

The French may not be so kind but they face the same ENVIRONMENTAL issues the world does.

Why in the world did a horse drop dead when it ran into the seaweed? Granted, the seaweed is decaying, but – unless I’m wrong – wouldn’t that mean it would just need to be bathed once back on the ranch? I mean, seaweed clings to you – not kill you.

The French seem to have the right idea – because they are living through what you and I have yet to go through (on this kind of scale) – FARM CHEMICALS SEEPING INTO THE WATER.

Ah, water. The most valuable resource on the planet and it is out of whack with the air quality.

How? Fixed nitrogen use to be produced by a few species, till we were able to crack the chemical code and make it ourselves. Genius! That is till it was mixed with other chemicals to make nitrogen fertilizer – that we use and poison ourselves with. It affects the air because the balance of the Earth made it that way to sustain life. It affects the water because it is not suppose to be dumped in large amounts.

Why? Fertilizer is a way to give plant or livestock food – it boosts the yield. By increasing the yield, you get “cheating the natural process.” When you cheat the natural process – you get coastlines – like France.

The story is much, much bigger than that, so I hope you get the idea. Water – Air – Too Many Chemicals – Slow Death for Human

Everything we have done in the name of progress and easier living is causing our own slow deaths.

Sure boosting crop production provides foods for the masses, but do we really eat it all? How much food is wasted at the grocery store before fresh is put out? This means every vegetable and every meat product we find on the shelf. Think about that question – especially the next time mention of the homeless comes up.

Everything we do is connected – why should this be any different?

How does the saying go? ”Nature is lethal, but doesn’t hold a candle to man.”
