While California is battling the diminishing water (water wars) in the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere is not fairing much better.  There is undeniable evidence that something is happening on Earth. The evidence is either man-made or solar, that much is certain. The phrases global warming/global climate change are all over the net and on the lips of the diplomats getting ready to meet at Copenhagen, but the debate rages.  The debate stems from exact cause of the planet changes. Things such as evaporating the water supplies should be addressed swiftly, yet are not because it comes down to exact cause and money. Why, when our survival depends on water? Let’s start tackling the global issue from another angle.

Whatever a person believes/not believes is causing the issues of global climate change is sufficient.  The data, charts, money, all of it – is not going to matter if the world just does nothing. As human beings the time for evolutionary adaptability and change is here for all.

The technological advances are here to reduce energy consumption of coal and fossil fuels, globally.  The technology revolves around the harnessing of solar energy through solar panels.  Solar panels have been tested for quiet a number of years – the results prove sustainability beyond what was first dreamt of for sure.  Why would a number of people be able to sell energy back to the power companies?

The technological advances are here to reduce contamination of the water supply.  When current forms of extracting coal and fossil fuels is allowed to finally die out, the water supplies could recover (it is nature after all), and water would not be re-routed.  Water has been re-routed for so long that little to no research has been done to effectively evaluate the future causes – so globally every one is seeing them now.  How? The local area streams are drying up and dying – evaporating quickly.

Cause – multiple issues. Action – nothing. Equal – no water. Equal – food issues. Human beings at the top of the food chain.  Eek…

The technological advances are there for the entire world to successfully overcome the changes happening.  Whatever the changes are labeled as – they are still global changes.

Since everything is connected to what can be produced from nature, the need is not to know the exact cause, but what to do to save lives.  Coastal areas need to be addressed first – that much is evident. All coastal areas as it has been mentioned on here for the past year an half, need to be addressed first. (Oh but before moving on…before another official, government or otherwise, seeks “free labor,” get out there and set the example of free labor – literally.  Quit the job (or receiving royalties), roll up the sleeves and set an example.  It will have to be done anyway, so it’ll be okay to get the jump start since the planet does not accept money of any form, to produce water for all us.  Most of the population is unemployed now, so it will not be hard for the example to be set.)

Remember, human beings are adaptable. (We may not evolve quickly, but we are adaptable.) The only thing that has to happen — we have to work together to create sustainability.  When was the last time every one worked together, and not doing so because of a war?

  • Rare Metals…The Alarm Has Gone Up Quick For Shortages…

Okay, here it is, but not about the lithium…about other metals that we harvest in great volume.

“As hybrid cars gobble rare metals, shortage looms”

“Worldwide demand for rare earths, covering 15 entries on the periodic table of elements, is expected to exceed supply by some 40,000 tonnes annually in several years unless major new production sources are developed. One promising U.S. source is a rare earths mine slated to reopen in California by 2012.”

The idea of being green, living a greener lifestyle, or just being eco-friendly, means that we use what we have.

Continuing to take and make something new, from materials that have not been harvested, is not going to solve the global issue.  We are just creating new problems – like nothing left and nothing to replace what has been taken.

What we know as a species is that we do not have the ability to make these precious metals.

What we know as a species is that we do not have the ability to make the precious rain.

What we know as a species is that we do not have the time machine to find out what the planet is going to look like continuing this path.

With the things that we have right now, we should be able to survive and have that quality of life.  The resources left and people not shopping, will save time an individuals precious time, gasoline (black gold), rare metals, timber (I mean look at all the empty houses and businesses), and be able to become a humanitarian – with no alternative motive.

    We just cannot keep taking.

On an interesting note, the latest Newsweek is stating that “IT’S TOO LATE TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING” (#14, of their “Surprising Things You Need To Know”)

Well, as it has been clearly stated on here – they are right.  The eloquent and most direct quote is, “The big worry now is that the planet may not adhere to the diplomatic timetable.” Thank you Newsweek – you have just summed up WHY we all have to work together.

Nature has all the time in the world to re-balance, with or without us being around.

The above and other entries here on this site, still gear towards survival, without saying “survival.”  Our communities need to have knowledge of not how to shop for the best deals or how much money you have in your pocket – those things come from Nature.  It will be what a person knows in gardening, recycling old clothes, or cooking enough beans to feed a lot of mouths.

The issue of Global Warming/Global Climate Change – is here and it has been here for so many years.  Working together and stopping all emissions – then waiting (because we have to) will be key in whether the problem is going to get bigger or reduce.  If Nature has taught each of us anything, it is the fact that it finds a way to survive.

Remember: Going green or Eco-Lifestyle doesn’t mean buying the latest “save me money gadget” – it means using what you have already.  Think.

Now, in the same breathe, I have to put it on here because this is “kudos”…

THE ENVIRONMENT IS HEALTHIER THAN EVER (#21, of their “Surprising Things You Need To Know”)

“Acid-rain levels have dropped 60 percent since the early 1990s.”

Question — And Be Honest – How many of you didn’t believe the acid rain fact?  There are many levels and stages to all things in Nature.  NOW, why are areas (such as the article mentions) like the Hudson River “much cleaner?” Because we took action to make the Hudson River cleaner – that means effort.  A little more effort and we could nip this Global Warming/Global Climate Change in the butt.

Sometimes, we just gotta take a path that is least taken.
