Yellow Sheep by Michael Drummond at publicdomainpictures.net

In this day and age, nothing is too taboo to talk about it anymore, is it?  Well, if it is not taboo, then topics are discussed in a politically correct angle.

Yesterday, the previous post talked about “other things happening in the world.”  The world is full of diverse opinions and tolerance to/for those opinions.  Heck, many take to platforms such as this are used to get opinions out, and to be heard.

Well, in trolling on the net I find myself going to You Tube – a lot lately.  The idea of starting a vlog is pulling for some reason, thus the platform(s) should be explored.  (My motto, always listen and trust the instincts.) So, here I am…more dang videos of everything. One thing attached to another…I hate television and here I am watching snippets. As I was about to jump off and go back to reading my book, I came across a short video.

From You Tube User: HenryBloggit, Rachel Maddow Exposes the Secretive Right-Wing Republican Cult “The Family” July 29, 2009

The masses have a general conclusion of what religion is, or is not, from their point of view.  The vast majority of people realize religion is faith, thus do not push their faith onto others.  When those that go out and push faith onto others, that makes it a belief.  As far as I can tell, when a belief is pushed onto others, war is started.  This is only an opinion, so take it how you want too.  The video above speaks volumes…

Just so we are clear, my idea of faith …. I take into consideration the parts omitted from the books. It was deemed by man “what was what” for me; therefore, the books are incomplete and all “religions” (faith/beliefs) are incomplete.  The missing parts — make up the whole “divide and conquer the masses.”  If war is kept up – the power struggles remain. Onward…

In doing some cookie trail work, I rediscovered the article about how all of the Presidents (except one) have shared a single bloodline.  When I first read the article, I found it to be impressive, but weird.  The article states that the young’n and the grandfather are the first to have proven the bloodline.  <Hit the buzzer! History! History! Where are the old history books?>

Throughout the years of man, the “royal blood lines” have been hard-pressed to maintain.  The wars and power struggles will do that to the bloodlines of any person on the globe.  But more on this later…it all works together.

What does this have to do with the above clippie?

Who gets off saying they are “divine” and must therefore go to other countries to represent us?
Why are they acting divine? (Where is my plate of transparency, please?)
What makes them believe that they are divine/ “doing Gods work”?
Who would be continuing to fuel these archaic (even barbaric) ways of thinking?

Technically, no matter what an individual puts his or her faith, or belief, into, each of us originate from the same start.  Each individual had to come from somewhere, and birth rights were deemed by man, not the divine.

The man aspect of it (long ago and probably coming up) had to convince others, through “miracles” and slaughtering, that they were divine in order to “rule.”

Shit…there really a lot of people on the planet now, uh?

Time to start working some miracles, and when that does not work, the next chess move is sparking more war.  Textbook stuff here people…the victors got to write history out before…old hat tricks. The best part of all – it is in plain sight.  Go figure.

*And why are bankers telling us they are doing God’s work again…see a possible pattern…I could be on the wrong cookie trail…

  • The Breet Report Explores The Automatic Generated Response Letters To/From The House and Congress Reps (Opinion)

Over the course of the last ten months, there is a friend of mine that has diligently given their two-cents in providing their point of view for different bills before they are passed in The House, or Congress.  Within those last ten months, there have been responses for acknowledging their concern (and/or venting) about, “why are you even considering this [insert action here]?” The part about being able to “voice public opinion” and create “transparency within the government”  thing, is killing me inside with laughter.  (Sad, but true.)

    Voice

The voice of the people have clearly stated, Americans are tired of the political, and corporate capitalism that has shaped our nation.  The greed factor has pinched the nerve of every citizen that (and I quote from the many politicians that have said this), “did the right thing by paying their bills, playing by the rules of the/their system, and (now) on hard times.”

The greed factor is not an original observation – not by a long shot.  Every respectable person has pointed this out, and screaming for reform.  The voice of Americans that are facing (rumored) layoffs and sinking accounts – are still wondering about their voice in all of this.  Those individuals and others, the voice of Americans, are even using these pre-defined letters for The House and Congress; thus, getting back pre-defined…rather… automatic letters.

    Automatic Letters

The voice of Americans have been reduced to automatic letters.  The representatives (in having read one of these letters) is still completely unaware of their constituents voice.

This automatic letter system is a sham. (That is only an opinion.) Americans are lead to believe that their representative has taken the time to read, and RESPOND KNOWLEDGEABLE – giving them false hope of their voice being heard.

    Thought

Seemingly (or “transparently“), better action is forming to “restore” many aspects of a system that has had known problems.  (Take a pick of aspects, bank regulation, energy regulation, health care reform… and a gigantic list of known problems.)  Americans representatives have had to answer “tough questions” when it came to re-election time; yet do nothing to effectively correct issues for the voice of Americans, when/if re-elected. Let’s face it, most the representatives just kind of expect to win. Have there been the beating of hoofs on the campaign trails in their home state? Nope. Just signs.  Here is the thought in a nutshell….

How is the voice of America being heard?

Are Americans nothing but automatic letters?
Are Americans nothing but data figures on a business portfolio?
Are Americans really nothing but sheep with a number?

    Ending this Observation

These are the questions that should be asked when Americans are deciding their voice.  Again, let’s face some facts, Americans are described in sorts of colorful language nowadays.  Decisions made on behalf of the (supposed) collective voice have taken situations from bad to worse.  The inability of fair communication, representation and/or transparency has even given some (as seen in the world of blogging) a sense of “giving up on America.”

Americans, just because the voice is not working right now, does not mean the original design of the system, to project the collective voice of Americans, doesn’t work. It does. It has. It will again.  The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, Habeas Corpus, and other documents used to keep liberties, and even greed in check, does work.  Do not give up on being a collective voice.  Do not give up on America.  Do not give up on the fellow man, woman, or child, in this country; America is worth it.  Hope. Liberty. Freedom. All of America is worth it, however, not at the reduce rate of being an automatic generated letter.

  • Richmond Virginia Businesses and The Festival

The 7TH Annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival was held at Bryan Park earlier this year. This local park is huge and wildlife friendly!  Bryan Park is a 262-acre local park that has had preservation, since 1994 by local citizens.  To learn more about Bryan Park and the vast area, please visit “The Friends of Bryan Park”.

    Welcome to the Festival!

    Welcome to the Festival!

The festival this year had several vendors on hand for the local community to gather and celebrate vegetarianism! Here in Virginia, local small business vendors and nonprofit organization are not as well known or advertised as heavily as larger corporation entities.  The reality is a number of them do rely heavily on word of mouth or as much free advertising as possible. It is the small businesses that are attempting to thrive in a corporation world!

However, this festival was not just for local vendors. The festival included different nonprofit organizations to help promote further awareness in Virginia to a number of different causes that go hand-n-hand, vegans, Vegetarian Society of Richmond, and the average concerned citizens.

Visiting all of the vendors and organizations was a pleasure.  Having a chance to speak with those that are consciously aware that every action we take does have a direct result on our environment. Awareness of our surroundings, tools and/or benefits, is with everyone!

In no particular order, here are few vendors and nonprofit organizations that grasped the festival, at least from one person’s point of view!  These really stuck out because of their passion for what they do, provide, and the type of good ol’ customer service that is rarely seen anymore.

Virginia Animal Fighting Task Force (Nonprofit)
This vendor is actually made up of Animal Control Officers, local Law Enforcement, prosecutors and attorneys,  that helps in taking action against owners who are cruel and inhuman to there pets, domestic and some livestock.  They encourage the public to report such actions as they become aware, or witnessed.

Abuse of any kind is very hard to digest. Here in Virginia, the realization that awareness and knowing that there is somewhere to go with information does exist. This nonprofit organization brought it to everyone’s attention.  It is not just after effects of prosecution.

As it says in the brochure, “We are here to tell you that it [animal fighting] happens everywhere in both rural and urban areas.  There is no protocol for an animal fighter, they are both men and woman, rich, poor and in between.  They are parents and church goers, business men and woman, and often times your everyday average person.”

Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (Nonprofit)
This nonprofit organization founded in 1993; traditionally, it is known as AARF. The uniqueness of AARF: they are a no-kill animal foundation for dogs and have a program in place to help learning of the dog(s) personality, likes and dislikes – to best match them with potential owners!

    AARF!

    AARF!

Searching for an animal to love and cherish, is never easy, but neither is determining if you want to adopt a pet.  Best advice ever: challenge yourself.  Learn that it means to adopt.  Understand that the pet is going to be just as nervous as you are in a new environment.  Understand that the potential adopted pet may have suffered cruelty at some point, and has under gone rehabilitation. If adoption is just not for you, then see about volunteer work.  It is a fantastic way to support a worthy cause.

    Cary Town Teas (Vendor)
What a discovery!  Tea is a delicious, relaxing, and filling beverage.  Here in Virginia, it gets very hot and humid, and most of us know how to make sweet tea to cool us down and relax a little. However, after just learning about this shop and speaking with the owner/operator, I am sorely tempted to just purchase on a regular bases!  Hearing the enthusiasm for the variety of teas that were brought for the masses to taste was excellent.  Knowing the types and qualities of the different teas is hard to master.  The whole, “this taste good,” “don’t drink that,” to the “Wow, what a drink!” is experienced.  It appears that this owner is up to speed on quality tea!

The vendor also had a mild selection of tea accessories.  There were varying sizes and shapes of tea strainers. For the consumer who makes his or her own tea, this is a great find! Moreover, instead of using a regular old kitchen whisk to mix up the tea, a bamboo whisk making that job 100% easier!  So if you love tea – visit the selection!

    NIKKEN – Wellness (Vendor/Health Consultants)
Being healthy is at the forefront of everyone’s mind.  Having awareness of our body is what can keep us one-step out of a doctor’s office.  However, when you have to go to a doctor, it is usually too late to stave off that cold, aliment, containment or even the compounded effects from the current or previous way of living.  (Smoking or diet habits are the best examples)

The movement is on in the Richmond, Virginia area to bring awareness of alternative methods of healing to the masses.  The reason being: there just cannot be a pill for everything.  Our own environment has a lot to do with our physical body’s health. While speaking with an independent consultant, there was information shared about magnets and uses within/out of our body.  There was even information about a method to magnetize water and the benefits that causes.  Additionally, the health of our bones and what products they have to offer was discussed as well!  All of this is important – no matter what age you happen to be.  Thinking now about how to stay healthy, fit, and in balance, is very important to learn at any age and this seems like it would be a great place to get started.

Remember: We are what we eat!

Now, these are just a very small few that were at the festival to display their cause, passion, or small business.  The overall promotion is that of the vegan lifestyle and society in Richmond, Virginia.  Promoting awareness of how livestock is treated.  Promoting of what just one person can do for his or her part.

Speaking first hand, this is a much better lifestyle that has gradually taken form with my husband and me.  Just a few months ago, in fact almost a year ago, we had been avid lovers of meat, chicken, or the usually variety of fish and seafood. However, by revolutionizing our diet and standards to meet the changing economy, we found that our health improved three fold in a short amount of time.  It was not until later that we began to look at what goes into the treatment of livestock, our pets’ food, water, or other ready resources, that we took an even bigger step back to grasp the whole picture.  The festival had good, informational vendors, speakers, and literature on hand to further expand this lifestyle.  While it is still not fully accepted or respected, it is coming to the area at large.

    Enjoy the pictures!
