• The Breet Report – It Is Friday, And The Billion(s) Dollar Question Of The Week Was Not Answered

The economic downturn has lead to unprecedented amounts of money funneled into “too big to fail” risks. Deals are done between Washington and Wall Street, but no one knows what the full deals are or what the impact of the deals will be when it comes to citizens. (That was inaccurate – bonuses. No, there is no way for a citizen to know that the deals have not changed.) Here is the BILLION(S) DOLLAR question –

“Why hasn’t the government opened their books to show what they own now, since these deals/bailouts have happened?” That question was asked earlier this week, and there has been little success in find the article again. (Might have been under Bloomberg.com) Um – and no one else jumped up this week to peruse this question.

Citizens have a right to know what the government owns, because well, those are our tax dollars and (supposedly) government officials work for us – the common fellow on Main Street. The indication at this point is America has turned into the ‘Great American Yard Sale’ (Times, 2008).

    Back to Wall Street…..

Wonder if Wall Street was tired of not being as famous as Hollywood actors at this point? With the hearings and media coverage that goes on now, it‘s like a who‘s who. Spot light much guys??

Since the common citizen does not get answers (to the questions that get overlooked) — What is the bigger thing, being hidden? What is it that the common citizen is being distracted from next? What is the next Ace up the sleeve? This is the only logical conclusion that can come from – “too big to fail” motto.

***Side Note*** There will be more environmental pieces here again – soon. Apparently, there is talk about removing the polar bears from the endangered species list.  That was reported on Bloomberg.com (under the environment section), by Tina Seeley, October 22, 2009.  Makes for a – “whaaa?”

  • The Breet Report – China, African Oil, Global Climate Change…Something is not adding up

    Trying to follow the dots

China is trying to secure oil, rather invest in oil fields in Africa, eh? (1) With the talks coming up in Copenhagen for the global climate change … it makes me wonder if the other reports are a bit tainted.

There are so many little people (you and me) that are running around on this rock, trying to make it day in and day out, that the concept behind global climate change is not unthinkable.  The sheer number vs. resources left, points to increased activity of the climate being changed.  Then throw in the solar system activity for the strange events happen; and let us not forget about the bombing of the moon – that which has known effects on the rock that is inhabited by – us – the little people. So, global climate change is not unthinkable.  What gets me to thinking that the data might be tainted, or as citizens being set up (for lack of a better term) by those in a position to do the right thing, but still refuse, is at the Copenhagen talks COUNTRIES are attempting to reduce the global greenhouse carbon footprint.  Why is China attempting to secure oil fields?

Being a little person, and labeled by the U.N. as “you people,” when the dots start to connect, it makes for everything that one “believes in” seem rather worthless.  That those in a position to take the lead and be a leader, are able to sell everything right out from under us and then reap the benefits themselves.

The statement, “able to sell everything right out from under us,” refers to the article TIME did about the ‘Great American Yard Sale.’ (Think that was back in 2008) The article has been referenced on here before…

Why did America sell most of the bridge contracts to other countries? Here in Virginia, it is no secret that one of the most recent bridges built is held by an Australian company.

Next question/observation along the same context of ‘Great American Yard Sale,’ with all of the foreclosures, and banks not able to produce the bank note, (could be from all the shuffling of debt), have the lands that the homes and maybe even commercial real estate been sold overseas to settle…..?

From the back seat, little people view, it is starting to appear as the United States is going to get the short end of a stick.  That the citizens could suffer greatly by the actions of those “leaders” who sold us out.  If this is false, GREAT! That would mean that we didn’t get sold out and might be able to have sustainability; however, reading through places like Bloomberg.com, Reuters, and keeping up with the environmental talks, the signs and dots are pointing to a different direction.

Is anyone else seeing this or want to throw in their two-cents from their neck of the woods? What properties around the area are not held by America, though on American soil?

  • The World Does Move – Quote D.D. Eisenhower -

“The world moves, and ideas that were once good are not always good. ”
    Dwight D. Eisenhower

I ran out of time the other day to expand on the quote above.  So here goes…..hopefully I can fully express what this means to me.

Does anyone else think that there are ideas and goals out there for our beloved nation that are not so good anymore?  The the time of over-developing and selling out should end?  That working together is literally – working together?  The idea of staying out of the political arena for other nations would be a splendid idea? I know my tax dollars would mucho happy and so would my retirement money,  that I will never see.  LOL ~

Expanding on outdated material has not brought us anything but the current situations we are in.  The finger pointing and delusions of billions have gone down the toilet.  Yet they are still being worked. Why? All in the name of oil?  All in the name of rich?  All in the name of might/pride/greed?

“Grass roots” comes to mind here.  Start simple on an idea you have had.  Understand that you are going to be meeting with total and utter dismay.  That the challenges faced would be of rage, “how could you”, and threats – shoot maybe even death if those around do not like the idea of change.  (To that I would have to use the “good ‘ol boy” syndrome here.)

Since a voice is among millions – the idea has to be small – in you.  The amazing thing is – you realize later on - you don’t need to have a “following”.  That causes backstabbing and a whole big mess.  What you realize is that truth, really is what will back your ass up – and a Wonderful. (LOL!  Yes, Wonderful is my support along with my extremely high strung ideas of “why the hell does no one see/listen/ ask more questions” <- that is a long list.) Digression – sorry.

What works in your area?  What is the little news paper saying every week, that just makes you mad “it” is happening in your area? How do you see a resolution?  Even if it is not acted on right away, a seed – the idea – just got planted.  If one hears what you are saying, has better morals than most out there, and is honest, they could just be the one to develop the outdated – You gave them a voice. You gave them an idea. Or you expanded on it and took the bull by the horns and said, “Wait a minute! I live here too and I do not agree. I have an idea let’s at least try.”

Currently, I feel, that exploitations of the outdated have been taken serious advantage of – in all areas of the government. A government that was developed to protect (first and foremost) and ensure freedoms of all, against tyranny at home or aboard.  Seeking the loopholes or even creating them for ones own gain, causes what you and I see today.  The idea/seed was planted, “they did it – so can I”.  Trying to re-establish a good balance, will have to come from the World that is still going to be moving and changing, without selling out or walking all over a decent, non-aggressive family, or person.  Putting the seed of change out there has already happened – yet “flip flops” are occurring because – ah – you cannot make everyone happy.  What is the cure?  Equality. Simple idea.  Lost idea. But a regaining idea that everyone is entitled to what this Nation was created.

Currently, I feel, that red tape, bullying, lying, loopholes, buyouts, payoffs, <- again another long list, have destroyed basic fundamentals for equality.  For security.  For a life well lived. I would hate to be the person who has sold out.  When you are old and sitting in a nursing home somewhere – I do not want to hear, “those young kids out there .. blah, blah, blah.” – Remember it is you that has caused this – working an outdated program and then not creating an equal program to continue developing a better nation. It is you that just set the example and planted that seed.  Why do you think it won’t happen…to you?  (Note: Wills get changed all the time – illegally. That is where my thought was heading too.  Can’t cover all your bases and you can’t keep honest enough people around when you get old.  Not unless they really do love you.)

Again – just a voice here – I hope you agree or disagree - but either way – that you are thinking.
